This year the theory committee will continue the Thursday morning Theory Mini-Classes on Zoom. From 9:30-9:50am (with questions from 9:50-10:00am) we will explore the MMTA Theory Curriculum. We start in September with three general information classes:
- 9/23 Overview of the theory program - presenter: Dr. Jake Fitzpatrick
- 9/30 "Teaching Levels 1 and 2: The pentascale as foundation" - presenter: Rebekah Richards
- 10/7 "So much to teach and so little time: How to structure lessons to cover it all" - presenter: Laura Harding
Please bring your questions about the curriculum, the testing, or how to teach concepts. If you haven't used the theory program, these classes are a great way to get started.
October 28th through January : Level 6
Each week we'll discuss a specific topic with suggestions on how to teach it. Presenters will be members of the theory committee.
