Voice and Instrumental Young Artist Contest

Purpose:

To encourage high performance standards for students and teachers in voice, guitar, organ, strings, winds, and percussion, MMTA sponsors an annual Voice and Instrumental Young Artist Contest and Finale Concert. This event provides students with a written critique and winners perform at the Finale Concert.

○ The Finale Concert ensemble piece will be given to teachers after they register their student(s).
● Contest solos are judged in the morning and the Finale Concert rehearsal is in late morning/early afternoon.
● Afternoon Finale Concert: First place Contest and Young Artist Contest winners in each age group and category will
perform a 3 minute or less solo from their performed repertoire and all students will perform in the ensemble piece.

Late Fees and Schedule Changes:

Late registration fee is $50 per teacher.
